H&R Is A Simple Name For Special Springs

H&R Special Springs unveiled several products at this year’s SEMA show, from Street Performance SS coilovers and 2011 Ford Taurus SHO suspension components to Ford Fiesta SES Tuned suspension coilovers and Mazda performance enhancements.

We talked with John Filipiak, Technical Manager at H&R Special Springs, about the biggest release for their company this season; a website.  www.trakplus.com.

The trakplus is a line of wheel spacers by H&R Special Springs that are designed to provide simple and effective vehicle track widening for improved handling, performance, safety, and a ‘perfect stance’.

According to Filipiak; “Everything you need to know about measuring, finding applications, purchasing, and installing TRAK+ wheel spacers is available at trakplus.com.”

We checked out the site with Filipiak guiding us.  They literally have thousands of applications of their spacers, available from 3mm to a whopping 65mm thick spacer.  The site is almost completely menu driven except for the points where the user needs to measure dimensions of the vehicle’s wheel wells and fender gaps.  There is a completely comprehensive guide explaining how to measure the dimensions that the program asks for.

Installation instructions are also available by clicking on the Installation tab on the website.  We also found the “Find Application” and “FAQ” sections on the website very helpful and user friendly.

The Trak+ Spacer product lines include the DR Series, for 6-40 mm track widening and fit between the wheel and hub, and require longer wheel bolts, to the DRM Series for  for 40-90 mm track widening and bolt to the hub with existing wheel studs.
