Goodguys To Crown 2013 AutoCross Shoot-Out Champ at Year-End Finals

It’s no secret that AutoCross has become a big deal for both participants and spectators alike, at major events across country. Goodguys has stepped up to the plate and taken the AutoCross phenomenon one step further as you can see in the video above.

[1]The Goodguys Rod and Custom Association [2] has announced that there will be a year-long national AutoCross Shoot-Out at 11 of the organization’s national events culminating with the Year-End Shoot Out Finals [3] that will decide the 2013 championship. The final event which is presented by BF Goodrich Tires will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Goodguys 16th Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale Arizona.

There are multiple ways to qualify for one of the 24 slots to compete in the year-end finals. The overall winner of each of the 11 qualifying AutoCross events [4] will be invited to compete in the Year-End Finals. To see which of the events qualify, check the Goodguys website. Additionally, nine PRO class drivers will be selected along with the four competitors having the fastest on-track times at the Friday November 15th session of the Southwest Nationals.

Total value of the cash and prizes for the Year-End Finals is well over $12,000! The winner will receive a $3,000 cash prize, along with a Goodguys AutoCross-themed custom toolbox from Snap-on valued at $7,000 and a set of BF Goodrich tires. Prizes for the runner up are a cash prize of $1,250 and a set of BF Goodrich tires. Third and fourth place finishers will receive $500 and $250 respectively along with the free set of BFG tires.
