GM Will Be Live Streaming Corvette Z06 and C7.R Reveal from NAIAS

2014CCF-medium [1]Next week the world will lay its eyes on GM’s latest and greatest performance car, the 2015 Corvette Stingray Z06. While we’ve shuffled through plenty of rumors regarding what it will or won’t be, GM has made it known that yes, they will definitely reveal an all new Corvettes sports car, alongside the new C7.R race car [2] at next week’s North American International Auto Show [3] in Detroit.

2014-corvette-stingray1 [4]But GM is doing more than just pulling back the sheets on a pair of sexy new ‘Vettes. Prior to the January 13th reveal at 9:30 AM Eastern time, GM will open a live Internet feed to the world [5], so all you poor suckers stuck at home can watch the curtain be pulled back in real time.

GM has made a habit of live streaming big reveals, as it did with the 2014 Corvette nearly a year ago in Detroit. The Corvette’s reveal was broadcast to the world at large, with thousands of viewers all over the world tuning in for a first glimpse at this new sports car. While we doubt as many people will tune in this time, it’s still a nice tip of the hat to fans that make the ‘Vette possible.

That means you’ll find out at the same time that we do what the Corvette Z06 and C7.R look like, as well as what to expect from the powerplant under the hood. Rumors of a 600+ supercharged LT1 have been floating around, though a beefier, naturally-aspirated LT1 could also be on tap. We’ll find out in less than a week!
