In the newest installment of Melling “Tech-Tip” videos located on their YouTube channel [3], Technical Director George Richmond showcases the correct procedure to prime engines and oil pumps utilizing tools offered by Melling. Richmond takes a look at tow differing types of pumps, beginning by displaying proper priming of an in-the-pan pump on a Small Block Chevrolet. Then we take a look at an over-the-crank pump, using Melling’s own MPL-101 Priming Tank in order to prime the pump and engine.
