The current Corvette is an out of the ballpark hit. Chevrolet really did it’s homework on the seventh generation of our favorite sports car. One of the things that’s really upped than ante is the C7 is the most customizable ‘Vette yet. You can specify a myriad of special tweaks from sueded interior bits, contrasting stitching on the seats, painted brake calipers and almost 20 choices of factory wheels.
And even though the Corvette has never been more customizable from the factory, taking a C7 to the next level with mods and aftermarket wheels can really add a personal touch, separating your car from run of the mill, stock Corvettes.
Forgeline wheels latest project car is a testament to Corvette customization in a tasteful, functional way. According to the folks at Forgeline, “Our in-house project Corvette C7 Z06 2LZ is equipped with the factory Z07 Ultimate performance package, including giant carbon ceramic brakes, visible carbon fiber body aero, visible carbon fiber roof, competition seats (heated and cooled), sueded microfiber steering wheel, carbon fiber interior package, Lloyds rear cargo mat, black Z06-embroidered front floor mats, performance data recorder (and navigation system), and dark gray brake calipers.
We’ve also equipped it with a set of drop spindles from LG Motorsports, wrapped the exterior carbon in 3M clear wrap, covered the headlights in 3M protection, and installed a new set of Michelin Super Sport ZP tires on these 19×10 & 20×12 one piece forged monoblock Forgeline AR1 wheels with a Brushed and Tinted Clear finish.”
What a beauty and a real nice snapshot of the latest and greatest body and wheels mods for a C7. The AR1 wheels will fit many other high performance cars as well. Check out Forgeline’s website for more info.
