Forgeline Teams Take Top Positions at Grand-Am Road Atlanta Races

forgeline_race_wins_3 [1]For years, Forgeline [2] wheels have been trusted to carry weekend competitors, adrenaline junkies and even professional racing teams to the top of their games, and just last weekend, this was once again proven at the Road Atlanta Grand-Am Road Racing event [3]. Not only did the famed Forgeline brand back top finishers in the Rolex GT and Rolex GX classes [4] on Saturday, they also supported five of the top ten finishers in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GS class [5], including the winning Stevenson Motorsports [6] team. Now if that’s not proof of the power of Forgelines, we don’t know what is.

Forgeline’s GA3R race wheels are the top choice for many Grand-Am race teams.

Competition was hot during the laps of the Road Atlanta Grand-Am Road Racing event, held Saturday April 20th at the famous Georgia track, and Forgeline was there, fully immersed in the bout for sought-after racing titles. As Grand-Am Racing took on the iconic Road Atlanta track for the first time, Forgeline was on hand to support the many teams that rely on Forgeline wheels to get them to the finish line.

During the weekend competition, Forgeline teams took top placements in all three competing classes, with the #38 Porsche Cayman, run by BGB Motorsports [8], taking second in the Rolex GX class atop GA3R wheels, and three Forgeline teams taking second, seventh and tenth atop Forgeline hoops.

In the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GS class, five of the top ten finishers were racing with Forgeline wheels, including the well-known #9 Stevenson Motorsports GS Camaro. This fifth-generation Camaro, piloted by Matt Bell and John Edwards, races atop Forgeline’s GA3R wheels, which offers new I-beamed spoke technology, lightweight yet extremely strong materials, heat-treated rim shells, a stepped-lip design, generous brake clearance, and a three-piece competition construction. Not only are these wheels warranted for racing, they are fully customizable and offer superior performance advantages.

The Grand-Am Rolex Series continues next week at Detroit’s Belle Island Park on April 31st and May 1st while the Forgeline-equipped Stevenson Motorsports Camaro will return to competition May 31st through June 2nd for the Chevrolet Grand Prix in Detroit.
