Forgeline Motorsports Procures C7 Corvette Development Vehicle

Custom wheels are an industry all within themselves. For proof, all you need to do is head to the SEMA [2] show, where there is an entire hall dedicated to wheels and tires, with incredible displays of the industry’s hottest new fitments.

Perhaps the most anticipated performance vehicle of the decade happens to be the 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray [3] – they are flying out of dealer lots and into the hands of enthusiasts everywhere. In order to meet the expected demand for custom alloy wheels, Forgeline Motorsports [4] has purchased their very own Arctic White Z51 C7 in an effort to perfect wheel fitment.

Wheel offset and getting that “perfect” look can be a difficult task for any manufacturer, thanks to the huge-by-large braking systems that many performance cars are factory-equipped with today, so by adding the development vehicle to their stable, Forgeline will have the ability to fit wheels onto the testbed rather than relying on a bunch of measurements and educated guesses to get the fitment correct.

Check out the complete photo gallery [6] of the car wearing the new wheels.

Each Forgeline Motorsports wheel is engineered using Finite Element Analysis and is tested in-house to ensure their strength, safety, and performance. Each wheel is machined from heat-treated 6061-T6 aluminum that has been forged on a 6,000-ton hydraulic press. The forging process creates high strength-to-weight ratios and high quality wheels.

They can even cover your wheels in a custom color combination to satisfy your desire to stand out.
