Flowmaster Named NMCA Series Sponsor Through 2013

From the very beginnings of the heads up street car movement dating back to the early 90’s with the original Fastest Street Car Shootout, Flowmaster has served as an integral supporter as both a sponsor and a key provider of performance racing exhaust. And in 2011, the exhaust technology leader will further increase its commitment and support of this exciting form of racing after being named the new series sponsor of the National Muscle Car Association through the 2013 season.

Check out the 2011 schedule on the NMCA website.

The Flowmaster NMCA Muscle Car Nationals series, which dates back to 1988, is the leading all-domestic street legal series in America and contests heads up, index, and bracket-style classes at nine events across the country, highlighted by the exciting six-second, 200 MPH Pro Street and Super Street categories. In 2011, the series will visit two new venues, including the Maryland International Raceway and the fabled O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis.

“Flowmaster is excited to become the title sponsor of the National Muscle Car Association for 2011 and extending for the next three years,” stated Winnie Flugger, CEO of Flowmaster, Inc. “This sponsorship represents a return to our roots, racing, the platform we used to design and test our products some 28 years ago and continue to utilize in developing future technology breakthroughs. We take this reconnection very seriously and will support the NMCA with a full trailer schedule and other contingency programs. We’re glad to be back and look forward to an exciting 2011 racing season.”

“We are very excited to have Flowmaster join the NMCA as our series sponsor,” said Charlie Harmon, president of ProMedia Events. “Flowmaster, whose roots go all the way back the beginning of street legal drag racing, is one of most recognized performance brands in the world. Walk into any performance shop or warehouse and you’re sure to see plenty of Flowmaster products for all car, truck, and race applications.”
