Unveiled in January, the Corvette C7 has been out in the public view for over seven full months now, and GM has only dribbled out the details in bits and pieces. There isn’t even an official Corvette C7 customizer up and open to the public yet, preventing us from pricing out our dream Corvette and adjusting our life goals and home equity lines of credit accordingly.
Stepping in to fill this vacuum is Dot3 Studios, which CarScoops reports launched their very own 2014 Corvette C7 customizer at BuildYourC7.com this past Saturday. Sure, the customizer is rather limited in what you can and can’t do, and is missing certain details as well, but we’ll take what we can get.
The options allowed by this fan-made customizer are rather limited, as is our working knowledge of the Corvette C7. But the Dot3 Studio guys did their best, using what little info is out there to give you an idea of what your dream Corvette C7 will look like.
Among the options are several different color choices, many of which we’ve already seen from spy shots and special reveal events. The Lime Rock Green shade is one such option, as is the new Laguna Blue, as well an old standby, Cyber Gray. The customizer also allows for your choice of wheels and performance packages, like the already-announced Z51.
It’s a noble attempt to satisfy impatient Corvette fans, but after playing around for a few minutes, we’re even more eager for the official Corvette C7 customizer. What’s the holdup GM? In the meantime check out DOt3 Studio’s work for yourself.
