You absolutely enjoy your vintage ride, so isn’t it time to take it out and show it off in your area to promote the hobby? Well, coming up next week, hundreds of hot rod and custom enthusiasts will get a chance to do just that with the U.S. Senate recently passing a resolution designating Friday, July 11th as the official 2014 Collector Car Appreciation Day at the urging of the SEMA Action Network (SAN). Check out the promo video SAN put out for this special day above.
For years, collector car enthusiasts have been showcasing their cars all over the country at car shows, parades, and cruises. With the fifth-running of the official Collector Car Appreciation Day, enthusiasts not only get the chance to share their passion once more, but also show their home communities the importance and beauty of collector cars and their restoration process. After all, without collector cars and all the business they bring to this country, the economy and automotive industry certainly wouldn’t be the same.
Events to commemorate the unique car holiday are popping up all over the United States and Canada, ranging from festivals and cruise-ins to barbeques and even movie showings at area Drive-In theaters.
