Edelbrock’s 9th Annual “Rev’ved Up 4 Kids” Car Show Set for May 3rd!

Everyone in the automotive world knows the name Edelbrock [2] and the superb products that they have provided our community with since 1938. What most people don’t know about Edelbrock is that they also do quite a bit of charity work with their Edelbrock Family Foundation. With a focus on educating and training the youth of America, their goal is to foster a new generation of automotive industry leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, enthusiasts and more.

IMG_1652 [3]In 2006, Christi Edelbrock put together the “Rev’ved Up 4 Kids” event and car show. Since its inception, the event has continued to grow every year. It serves not only to provide quality community outreach, but happens to be a whole lot of fun as well. All while teaching kids useful and practical skills. How cool is that?!

The ultimate goal of the event is to generate greater awareness  for The Center For Learning Unlimited [4] in Torrance, CA. Founded in 1985, The Center is a small, highly specialized school that serves both publicly and privately sponsored 3rd-12th grade students in the Los Angeles South Bay community.

IMG_1916 [5]The Center is a great match for bright students identified as having Asperger’s Syndrome (ASD), Bipolar Disorder or PPD/PPD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder/-Not Otherwise Specified). Students at all grade levels take part in an enriched California state curriculum, adapted to meet their learning needs.

The 9th Annual Rev’ved Up will once again be held at Vic’s Garage, located at 510 Madrid Ave, Torrance, CA 90501 [6] on May 3rd, 2014 and ought to be fun for the whole family with Gourmet Food trucks, a beer garden, Kid’s Corner, a tour of Vic’s Garage Museum, VIP Area, Special Guests (and an autograph session), live music courtesy of The High Energy Sound Machine and the Hot Rodders Of Tomorrow Engine Challenge!

All of this on top of a top notch car show open to Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Classics, Trucks, Motorcycles, and more. This year’s event will be hosted by the South Bay Mustang Owners club.IMG_2011 [7]
