Edelbrock Rolls Deep on the Hot Rod Power Tour

The Hot Rod Power Tour is a road trip through the East that invites all hot rod and performance vehicles to join this traveling car show for a week. This year the Tour runs from June 4th through the 11th. In it’s 16th year, the Power Tour travels from Cocoa Beach, Florida to Detroit, Michigan, making stops in six different states and stretching over 1,600 miles. This year our friends at Edelbrock have three cars driving the entire stretch of the tour. Thanks to Edelblog [2] for bringing us this news.

This isn’t the first year that Edelbrock has been represented in the Tour. In fact, this will be the sixth year that Vic Edelbrock Jr.’s 1957 Bel Air will be participating. More exciting than participating in their sixth Power Tour, however, is the addition of two more Edelbrock vehicles in the trip. We’re excited that both the new additions will be LSX cars- a 2010 Corvette and 2011 Camaro. These cars are both used as personal daily drivers of Vic Edelbrock himself.

The Z06 Corvette is equipped with an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger System designed specifically for the LS7 set-up. This particular Corvette produces 657 horsepower and 582 pound-feet of torque. These numbers are impressive and we commend Edelbrock for taking such a beast of a street car out on the Tour.

[4]The Hendrick Camaro is also equipped with an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger System which helps the car produce 599 horsepower and 547 pound-feet of torque. In addition to the supercharger, Edelbrock coil springs, adjustable rear toe links and lower trailing arms are featured on the Camaro. It also has a Russell Street Legal Brake Hose Kit on it.

In addition to the appearance of three of their unique cars, Edelbrock will have a trailer where they will be giving away autographed hats and posters. Nightly giveaways from Edelbrock will include Richard Petty Driving Experience $500 gift certificates. Their last night of the tour, Edelbrock will be giving away an E-Street Total Power Package Top End Kit which is valued up to $2,500 with a choice of valve covers and air cleaner.

If you’re planning on joining the Tour this year, you still have a few days to participate. Make sure to check out the new Edelbrock cars and register to win the great prizes from Edelbrock if you do end up making the trip.
