For the past 18 years, Eagle One has recognized car clubs – through their Golden Rule Awards program – for outstanding and compassionate contribution to the needy in communities. In conjunction with Valvoline Oil, Regional and National awards are provided to automotive enthusiast groups for their service.

“Eagle One has been proud to recognize and reward car clubs for the outstanding work they perform in their communities while actively engaged in the preservation of one of our country’s greatest heritages, the automobile,” explained Rob McCarter, brand manager for Eagle One.

This year, a regional and the National Award go to the Colorado Springs Corvette Club. Last Christmas, the club assembled and distributed food baskets that held a complete Christmas dinner and additional food for a week, to needy families in the area. They estimate that over a thousand family members had a better Christmas because of this.

Three additional regional winners were also highlighted. In the Midwest, Chevy’s Best; East, Wheels of Times Street Rod Assn.; South, South East Rods & Customs. Regional winners had $500 donated in their name to a favored charity, while the Colorado club’s favored charity received $1500, courtesy of Eagle One and Valvoline.

In addition, each club received a custom-designed award and a stock of detailing products and oil to use in future fund-raising events.
