Corvettes At Bondurant a Must-Attend Event this Weekend

The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving [3] is one of the premiere driving schools in the country. What’s even better is the school makes use of some pretty potent Chevys on a regular basis, including Grand Sport Corvettes, Z06s and even a couple ZR1s. But if you own one of these cars, wouldn’t you just want to drive your own? Well, now you can as the school is offering their Corvettes at Bondurant event to all Vette owners this weekend. That means real track time at the Bondurant facility behind the wheel of your own car with experienced trainers on hand to help you get the best performance from your vehicle.

[4] Corvettes at Bondurant is a two-day event running Saturday December 8th and Sunday December 9th. Over the course of these two days, participants will get a chance to participate in activities like lead & follow, where drivers follow lead instructors around the track to get a feel for the perfect driving lines, drag strip time at Firebird Raceway, an autocross challenge, ride-alongs with Bondurant instructors on “Bob’s Track,” and ground school where you’ll learn the best driving techniques used by professionals in all kinds of racing platforms.

The event kicks off Saturday at 8am with a welcome meeting with Bob Bondurant himself, as well as Corvette racer Johnny O’Connell and chief instructor Mike McGovern. Participants will then be split up in groups to go through the five driving exercises, ending the day with hot laps driven by instructors wielding Grand Sport Corvettes.

[5] Dinner will be served on Saturday night at the Bondurant Museum with discussions by O’Connell and Bondurant, as well as guests Darren Law and Doug Fehan. Sunday will see a return to the track for more exercise time, including open laps on the track in place of the lead & follow.

While the activities laid out make this event a must-attend, it’s the amazing price that seals the deal. The weekend-long event costs just $250 for all the activities, entrance for one car and two people into the Show and Shine competition and dinner on Saturday night. You can also purchase hot lap tickets separately for $25 a piece, as well as entrance into the Show and Shine for $50.

The Bob Bondurant School of Performance Driving in Chandler, Arizona is calling all Corvettes for this weekend extravaganza. Don’t miss your opportunity to reap the benefits of Bondurant training behind the wheel of your own car.
