Well, replacing worn out rubber bushings will go a long way to putting things right with your suspension, and it’s a job that owners can tackle at home.
To help you through the process, our friends at Corvette Central [2] have just posted an article on their tech website [3], offering some helpful tips for C4, C5, and C6 owners looking to either replace the OEM rubber with stock parts or upgrade to polyurethane. While bushing replacement can test the patience of the most Gandhi-like shade tree mechanic, with the proper technique and a few “secrets,” it’s not as bad as you might think.
