Comedian Christopher Titus Returns To Goodguys Gazette

Titus_Mugshot_web copy [1]Christopher Titus has been quite the busy bee since 2002. Having built his own brand through numerous stand-up tours, podcasts, TV shows, and other media enterprises, Titus’s twelve-year “hiatus,” if such a word can be used, is being brought to end as he returns to his roots with the Goodguys [2] Gazette.

Titus is good friends with fellow gearhead-comedian Adam Corolla, and has been featured numerous times on the latter's podcast, "Carcast." Here, the two discuss Titus' daily-driver, a customized SRT-8 Challenger. [3]

One of Titus’s biggest hits have been his highly successful comedy tours. The latest of these, “Angry Pursuit of Happiness,” is currently making its way all over the U.S. of A. and giving show attendees more stitches than they counted on. If you’re interested, feel free to check the dates for his upcoming shows here [4].

In 2007, Titus made the cross to the land of television as a recurring character in the ABC show, “Big Shots.” He has also thrived as a character actor in the films “Killer Klowns from Outer Space,” “Scar,” and “Remarkable Power.” He also hosts the “never unbiased, always unbalanced” podcast “The Combustion Lounge” available on his website www.christophertitus.com [5]

Sharing a similar name to his podcast, readers will get a chance to laugh with Titus through his new monthly column, entitled “From the Combustion Lounge.” Satire and self-deprecation are the 49-year-old’s calling card when it comes to his comedic stylings, which folks got a taste of at last year’s SEMA Show Banquet that took place on Thursday, November 7th. Needless to say, showgoers were in stitches over some of the best car-themed jokes heard in a long time.

Two of Titus' most prized possessions, this '49 Ford woody and '56 Chevy 210, were featured in a 2012 Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas.

But this isn’t to say that Titus has forgone his love of classic cars. He’s currently finishing a ’68 GTO, a ’61 Impala Bubbletop, a pro street, sectioned ‘56 Chevy pickup he calls the “Hell-air” and a ’64 (with a ’65 front end) Chevelle 2-door wagon for his clothing company “Combustion Speed Wear.” His daily driver is an insane 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT-8. Titus is back and he is still addicted to speed!
