Chevrolet Hits Record Half-Year Sales in 100 Year Existence

Look out American auto manufacturers- Chevrolet is making waves in the sales department! Due to the success of their new models, Chevrolet has achieved its highest half-year sales numbers, a total of 2.35 million vehicles sold, in their 100-year-history. But Chevy doesn’t plan on stopping there. With the release of even more models by the year’s end, Chevrolet plans on continuing to increase their sales and make an even bigger impact on automotive markets world wide.

In the first six months of 2011, Chevrolet increased their overall sales from the same months in 2010 by 14 percent. This included a 16 percent increase in sales in the United States and a whopping 54 percent increase in sales in Russia. Record first-half sales were also achieved in many countries- including China, France and South Africa- in addition to the global first-half sales record.

Chevrolet is attributing the company’s sales increase mostly to the release of new models in several different markets, including the Aveo, Orlando MVP and the Cruze. The Chevrolet Cruze, alone, accounted for 330,000 sales world wide. By the end of 2011, Chevy will have released the new Malibu and compact Colorado truck. These two additional models are expected to help Chevrolet’s sales continue to increase. Chevrolet also attributes some of this year’s success to their products and services offered in over 120 different automotive markets.

We want to thank the Chevrolet in the News [2]website for bringing us the good news of Chevy’s increased sales. We look forward to seeing just how successful our beloved auto manufacturer is throughout the remainder of the year.
