Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals: It’s Here, It’s Here

Chevrolet Nationals

There is something for everyone.

Each summer, the month of June is a great time to be a Chevrolet enthusiast, as The Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals gather in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Carlisle Events first gathered all things Chevrolet, Cadillac, Pontiac, Buick, and Oldsmobile into one location 15 years ago, and today, we still consider it one of the best events of its type in the region. Where else can thousands of cars and guests come together in central Pennsylvania to hang out?

The show is fast approaching, as it takes place this weekend, June 22-25, and if you haven’t made plans to attend, there is still time. While preregistration is closed, you can still bring your car and register at the event so you don’t miss any of the excitement. In fact, we’ll be there looking for plenty of great feature cars, so make sure to hit us up.

This three-day extravaganza encompasses all things General Motors, and will play host to nearly a century of automotive history. This year will also showcase the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Camaro as well as a wide array of Chevrolet vendors within the swap meet and midway. We need parts for our C10, so you might even find us roaming the swap meet.

Adding to this year’s event is the addition of the Nostalgic Nova Club having a show within the show. In years past, the National Nostalgic Nova Club held its national meet at various locations, and this year, it will be at Carlisle. Because of this show melding, Nova classes have been expanded for 2017, and club members and Carlisle staff alike are working on recruiting some especially nice, rare, and unique cars to display under the North portion of the onsite pavilion.

Not only will there be a huge Nova showcase, but the Chevrolet Nationals will also feature the GM Musclecar Showdown, which spotlights some of the best Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Buick rides to roll off the assembly line. You can also check out the Solid Lifter Showroom, which houses a unique showcase of top-notch supercars such as Yenko and COPO cars. If you’re a fan of Pace Cars, a display dedicated solely to these monitors of motivation will be open to any pace vehicle, that is themed to any track.

Finally, you can also check out the autocross, onsite part installs and seminars, vendors, and so much more. Carlisle Events also wants to make sure that all enthusiasts of Chevy, Buick, Olds, Pontiac, and Cadillac themed car clubs are invited to attend. These clubs should consider Carlisle as the place to meet with other club members, many times under a free tent as part of the Club Tent Program, all while being immersed in a sea of automotive excellence.

So make sure that you plan your weekend accordingly, and make the Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals part of that plan,  We would hate to see anyone miss out on all of the happenings at this once a year event.
