Callaway Corvette Breaks 202 MPH At Mojave Magnum Event

unnamed5-1200x0The Corvette is not only America’s sports car, but the undisputed king of speed for the last 63 years. With its sleek aerodynamics and powerful V8, it rips through the air like a fighter jet on a mission. It’s no surprise that both half- and standing-mile racing meets are heavily populated with this potent competitor.

Check out his POV video we have of a nasty 2017 Callaway SC757 Z06. Calloway takes a standard Z06 and adds their Gen Three Supercharger
with intercooler system and get almost 100 extra horses as result. All this speed will cost a cool $18,000, on top of the price of a Z06.

We’re curious why the flagger hand gestured to the driver to lower his helmet visor before the run. Does the addition of a small piece of polycarbonate drastically increases the safety in a car that is about to go over 200 mph with a mere roll cage?

Assembled at Callaway’s Connecticut facility, this tuner 757 hp ‘Vette is proof that the golden age of the musclecar is right now. With it’s 2.8s zero to 60 mph time, this ‘Vette is more than capable of taking on the fiercest production vehicles in the world.

Now, here comes the kicker and the best part of the vid. After utilizing the factory launch control feature, the Z06-based Corvette powers down the tarmac like a supersonic jet, recording a 202.3 mph pass in about 35 seconds — an impressive achievement for any car, let alone a vehicle you can drive daily.

If a Corvette from the factory isn’t fast enough for you, check out the Callaway SC757.

The abundance of 757 steeds thunders under the hood makes this car an ideal candidate at these kinds of events.
