California Police Looking for Dark Blue C6 Involved in Hit and Run

Have you seen a car that looks like this with front end damage in the Southern California area lately? If so, the California Highway Patrol wants to know about it. As we found out from CorvetteBlogger [3], a dark blue C6 Corvette was allegedly involved in a hit and run accident that killed a pedestrian early Sunday on a highway off-ramp between Santa Maria and Nipomo, California. If you have any information about the whereabouts of the vehicle or the driver, you are encouraged to contact local authorities.

The accident took place early Sunday morning on the Highway 101 off-ramp for  Highway 166 eastbound. It was there that police say a dark blue 2005 or 2006 C6 Corvette with a removable hard top struck a male pedestrian before fleeing the area at a high rate of speed. The pedestrian, who’s name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene and police need your help to catch the prick suspect responsible for his death.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the car was last seen traveling northbound on Thompson Road toward Nipomo on Sunday morning. Per evidence at the scene and witness accounts, the car has a busted windshield, missing hard top, and damage to the front bumper, right fascia and hood. The car is believed to be owned by someone in the Nipomo area who may be concealing the car in a garage or under a car cover.

If you have seen a damaged blue C6 Corvette since Sunday morning in the Nipomo or Santa Maria area, you can contact the California Highway Patrol at 805-349-8728, or 805-593-3333 after normal business hours.
