[1]A couple of weeks ago, we brought you the news story [2] about the upcoming 60th Anniversary Corvette gathering being held at the Robert E. Petersen Museum [3]. The event will be held on March 1st and 2nd, and will feature stunning examples of over 500 Corvettes from all eras.
However, we wouldn’t write an article on something we have already discussed in the past if there wasn’t any interesting new information to report. We’ve received word from representatives of the Petersen Museum telling us that not only will the 2014 C7 Stingray [4] make its West Coast debut at the event, but that it will also be discussed at great length by none other than the Lead Exterior Designer for the C7, Kirk Bennion.

Bennion will be talking about the reasons for the new styling direction, why they did what they did, what it means for the C7 and future Corvettes, and how every line, crease, and slope helps improve the overall driving experience of the car.
If the classic machinery is more your thing, then you’ll want to check out the numerous vintage Corvettes on display that include one-off concepts, race cars, and prototypes that mostly haven’t seen the light of day since they were conceived. There’s plenty to do and see, and it has fun for the whole family. General admission is $12 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for students (with ID), and $3 for children ages 5-12.
