What do you do when you sell your red 2001 Z06 to a buddy and he wrecks it so badly, the frame looks like a pretzel? If you’re Jason Milligan from Piedmont, South Carolina, you buy a Nassau Blue Fixed Roof Coupe and combine the best of the two cars, add a supercharger and build a very wicked, “Frankenstein” Corvette.
Everything from the wrecked red car was transferred over to new Blue, including all the Z06 parts down to the “nuts and bolts.” While Milligan was at it, he decided to add massive power to his newly reconstituted Corvette as well as some cool cosmetic touches.
The motor had to be transferred from the old car to the new car, so while it was out, Milligan added a big ECS blower cam, Patriot gold extreme springs, Manley double roller timing chain, Kooks longtube headers with high-flow cats, X-pipe, Textralia OZ700 clutch, Halltech CAI, and SLP Loudmouth exhaust. He figures it got him 408 hp at the rear wheels.
Good numbers, but Milligan wanted more. That’s when the real hardcore modding began. He added a Procharger P1sc-1 with the latest A&A ram air intercooler, pushing around 9lbs of boost. With a a 3.70 pulley with 100% methanol on a speed density tune, he’s getting 646 RWHP and 500 RWTQ. The tune was performed in South Carolina by V8Muscle.net
All of this is wrapped up in very nice FRC bodywork with an aftermarket Tigershark front fascia. The C6 Grand Sport wheels and fender hash marks look especially at home here. Milligan says, “The gunmetal OEM Grand Sport wheels are 18×9.5 and 19×12 with Michelin 245/40/18 and Pirelli P-zero 305/30/19. This was the widest tire I could go with without sticking past fender about an inch.”
We say good job Jason and next time we’re in South Carolina, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for a nasty blue FRC.
