With SEMA right around the corner it seems to fitting to provide a preview of one of the countless cars that will be on display in Las Vegas, and a ‘64 Styling Corvette demands such attention. This beautifully restored C2 was previously owned by Chevrolet’s General Manager, Semon E. Knudson, and it will be on display in the Mid America Motorworks booth. Mid America Motorworks’ Performance Choice division helped to bring this unique Corvette back to its rightful glory. The Performance Choice division is industry leader in replacement automotive interior components as well as providing a wide array of custom products. Along with providing correct OE pieces, Mid America’s Performance Choice is able to replicate custom pieces as well.

Thanks to the ability to replicate the custom touches, Mid America’s Performance Choice division was able to recreate and restore the necessary parts for the ’64 Styling Corvette. This particular C2 is stored at the MY Garage Museum at Mid America Motorworks Corporate Campus in Effingham, Illinois. Mike Yager, founder and Chief Cheerleader for Mid America Motorworks was able to procure the car for the Yager family collection. Despite being specifically built for Knudson, the C2 still maintains the original 327-engine, but all of the custom touches were performed by the Styling Engineering department at GM. According to Yager, “This Corvette highlights the custom craftsmanship available at PERFORMANCE CHOICE and gives enthusiasts a glimpse at GM’s corporate vision for the future at that time.”
