With the highly anticipated launch of the 2015 Z06 right around the corner, vehicle details were confirmed at a recent pre-release press conference [2]. For those that don’t already know, the 2015 Z06 is going to be the badass big brother to the base model and Z51 C7’s. According to GM, the C7 Z06 is going to be the most capable Corvette ever (yes, even more capable than the C6 ZR1). Most recently on a GM Authority [3] article [4], details regarding the 2015 Z06 build packages were released and GM spared no expense with a deep and diverse package offering.

First up is the exterior which is going to get two Z06 exclusive colors (dark grey and blue) and four new wheel color options (silver, chrome, black, and spectra grey). For 2015, the Z06 is going to be offered in three different downforce trim levels. The different levels titled: base, CFZ, and CFV vary mildly depending on your taste. The base model will feature a front splitter and a rear spoiler. For the second level, the CFZ package will be equipped with painted carbon fiber pieces as opposed the the third level CFV package which will feature exposed carbon fiber (featured at the Detroit Auto Show [5]).

GM did also create three different interior Z06 packages as well. The 1LZ package will come standard with a heads up display and for those that want to make the jump to the 2LZ, they will receive heated/vented seats, a Bose premium audio system, and a memory package. Finally, the 3LZ package will feature in-dash satellite navigation and a brand new Performance Data Recorder which will be very unique. The release cannot come soon enough. [6]
