2014 Corvette Stingray Configurator Goes Kinda Live

config [1]It’s been been more than seven months since GM pulled the curtain back on the 2014 Corvette Stingray [2], setting off a round of near-universal praise for the seventh-gen Chevy supercar. Sure, we know power numbers, the starting MSRP, and even the fuel economy, but GM hasn’t yet allowed us to play around with an official Corvette configurator. Fans have gotten so bored that some have resorted to creating their own configurators [3] to get their fix.

Well GM has finally gone live with their 2014 Corvette configurator [5], listing all the options, pricing, and whatnot that goes along with launch. But conspicuously absent is a picture of the Corvette itself, and full functionality. Oh GM…

Missing picture aside, we now have a very complete picture of what packages the Corvette comes with and how much you’ll have to lay out to get behind the wheel of the ‘Vette of your dreams. While pricing starts at $51,995, opting for the top-of-the-line 3LT with the Z51 performance package takes the price up to $62,800.

Alas, the configurator is still going up and down, as it has been doing to us for a frustratingly long time; it’s been like this for a couple of days at least. Suffice to say, GM has made sure that Corvette owners have plenty of options to check off and ring up the tab on their new toy. A fully-optioned 2014 Corvette should be at or over $70,000 when all is said and done, leaving plenty of room for the rumored 600 horsepower Z07 Corvette to tempt owners to spend even more.

Hopefully GM will get the configurator stabilized soon, allowing us to fiddle around with our dream supercar during lunch.
