There are many important pieces of a car that must work as intended. For instance, if the transmission doesn’t shift, you are probably not going anywhere. If you get going and your brakes don’t work, while you might eventually stop, it probably will not be the way you hoped. Steering is another essential aspect of the car that needs to be spot on. If it is not, although you might be going somewhere, you really have no choice where that might be.
While perusing the SEMA show, we came across the Borgeson booth, and Jeff Grantmeyer gave us the skinny about their all-new manual steering boxes. According to Jeff, “We would really like to let people know about our OEM manual steering boxes. We purchased what was left of the Saginaw manual steering division, which includes all the original tooling, prints, and left over parts. Now we are able to manufacture these boxes at our new facility in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.”
By using the original prints and tooling, you can be sure to have an OE-quality steering box for your ride. Jeff was also quick to point out that these manual boxes are available in both standard and quick ratio. Jeff was happy to tell us, “We don’t deviate from what is already a really great box. They were built right from the get go. All we’re doing is sticking to the print, using good components, and building them right here in the U.S.”
With that said, we can’t think of a better reason to contact Borgeson, and get a new box for your classic ride today.
