[1]One of our favorite shows over the past few years was Chop Cut Rebuild, with host Dan Woods, and he stopped by the Classic Industries [2] booth again this year to talk with someone he’s worked with quite a bit over the years, Edgar Soler. Soler has been instrumental in assisting builds of all kinds, from Chop Cut Rebuild [3] to My Classic Car, with Dennis Gage.
But this year, instead of Soler visiting Woods on his show, Woods stopped by to interview Soler about Classic Industries’ ever increasing list of hard-to-find parts for classic Chevrolets and Mopars. Last year at SEMA, Woods brought out the 1956 Bel Air convertible that was built entirely with parts from Classic Industries.
[4]Lately, Classic Industries has been busy expanding their parts catalogs and offering more parts for the Impala and also for the new Camaro, as well. One of the parts of particular interest was the Duster Twister grille that was on display at the booth this year. The grille only fits 1971-72, and finding one in good condition was getting to be a chore for builders and restoration shops. Even still, the time and effort it would take to completely restore that grille would put the cost through the roof.
Classic now includes that grille as part of their offerings from their extensive Mopar catalog, and the list of available parts continues to grow. Classic Industries is the biggest distributor for the OER brand, and Classic caters to the individual restorer who is seeking some of the best reproduction and licensed replacement parts for their build.
