The SEMA Show is a trade show produced every November by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), a nonprofit trade association founded in 1963. Since the first SEMA Show debuted in 1967, the annual event has served as the leading venue bringing together manufacturers and buyers within the automotive specialty equipment industry and has grown into the world’s largest aftermarket automotive event held today.
Products featured at the SEMA Show include those that enhance the styling, functionality, comfort, convenience and safety of cars and trucks. This year there are over 2,500 new products on display and entered into the “new product category” with many more shown throughout the show floor.
SEMA announced the winners of the New Products Showcase Awards held at the 2013 SEMA Show at today’s banquet. The event recognizes the most cutting-edge automotive products either on the market or about to hit the market in the coming year. Criteria that ranked high on the judges’ selection for the New Product Showcase Awards include superiority of innovation, technical achievement, quality and workmanship, consumer appeal and marketability.
