SEMA 2013: Flaming River Offers Endless Custom Steering Options

We’re here at the 2013 SEMA Show [1] to hunt down the very best in quality new products to help our readers with their current and upcoming project builds. Cruising through the isles of Hot Rod Alley and Racing & Performance halls we came across our friends over at Flaming River [2], and as always they really brought out the big guns to this year’s SEMA show.

FR-04 [3]

Quality made in the USA, Flaming River’s steering columns are completely customizable to the customer’s needs. From custom mounting, colors, lengths, rod ends, and more – you can build the exact system you’re after. Available in custom powdercoated colors and finishes to match any vehicle’s color code without having to completely disassemble your column to send out for powder.

FR-01 [4]We got a chance to catch up with John Jennings, Sales and Marketing at Flaming River to get the inside scoop. Jennings told us, “The options are endless, and the ability to customize the perfect steering system to compliment any build is what we do best.” Jennings went on to show us some of the super cool finishes and options on every style of steering column offered by Flaming River.

Besides for the quality USA built product, another thing that really stands out at Flaming River is the passion and love for cars emanating throughout the entire crew. Ron Domin, Flaming River’s Vice President, has been building and customizing classics and musclecars from a very early age – and just like Domin, this passion runs through each and every employee in the Flaming River camp.

Also available for classic musclecars are the collapsible steering columns that bolt right into your custom or classic with ease, offering added safety and peace of mind. These also meet the required safety standards for many world wide regulations like Australia and New Zealand.

With a high-end quality USA-built product, the devil is truly in the details!

Flaming River’s complete line of power rack and pinions offer more than six inches of travel and full turning radius. They’re made from all new parts in house at their facility in Berea, Ohio and are never rebuilt. Each rack is fluid and pressure tested and certified before it leaves the facility.
