SEMA 2012: McLeod RXT Modular Clutches Keep Installation Simple

If you have ever installed a clutch, you know how much of a pain it can be when it comes to properly aligning the discs. Additionally, if you buy most twin disc clutch kits, you have to purchase an expensive flywheel that is designed for the kit or setup for air gap. That us until Mcleod Racing introduced the RXT modular twin disc clutch design.

With the ability to handle up to 1000hp, this twin disc clutch comes as you see it and ready to be bolted into your factory flywheel. “The RXT is a patent pending design,” says Mcleod’s Paul Lee. “The adapter ring allows you to bolt the RXT right to your factory flywheel.” Lee is not kidding either. You can take the RXT clutch assembly and move it from flywheel to flywheel, drastically reducing the amount of part numbers needed.

If you don’t plan to make 1000hp, then the RST clutch will save you a little money while utilizing the same modular twin disc clutch technology. The RST features an organic clutch material while the RXT comes with ceramic facings on the clutch discs provide slightly aggressive engagement with a soft pedal effort will make this clutch suitable for most street performance enthusiast. The kit includes a pressure plate, two discs, floater plate, McLeod patent pending adapter ring and pilot tool.
