SEMA Week is an exciting week for car lovers and gearheads the world over. But after meeting up with the team from eBay Motors [2] and seeing what’s in store for the coming year, our excitement level is pretty hard to contain.
Not only did eBay Motors just launch an exciting Mobile App update with some amazing new interactive features, they also are proud to announce the release of the all new eBay Garage [3] social platform, allowing automotive enthusiasts to interact and connect like never before. eBay has been in development of this new platform for a little over a year now, and with it’s official release, we are proud to announce that we have already created a “garage” to share even more content with our readers.

With over 26 million parts listed and 100 million eBay App users, what better way to connect the car community through a social interaction platform that already plays hosts to the largest collection of auto lovers worldwide.
Kristine Chin, Head of eBay Motors, gave us the inside scoop of what we can expect to see from this new development. “eBay Motors is all about connecting car lovers from around the world, and what better way to do that then with eBay Garage,” Chin shared as we discussed the future of eBay Garage.
Wishlists, dream garage, hashtags, and event galleries are just some of the new ways that the eBay Garage will add a completely new Social Element to the growing brand. Another advanced feature is the ability to take a picture of a car and the App will help you identify the make and model along with parts and complete cars available from a single photo. We can’t wait to have some more fun playing with all of these new features.

eBay Garage Features:
- eBay Garage Community Page – A single destination for enthusiasts to find a continuous stream of vehicle photos and profiles to explore. With a simple hovering of their cursor, users have a quick way to view a vehicle to see stats on photos, views, and comments.
- Favorites – Users can favorite vehicles within the community that inspire them, helping them keep tabs on a project another community member is completing, follow conversations around a specific vehicle, or just to create their own, easy to access collection of vehicles that interest them.
- Tagging – Vehicles within the community can be tagged by their owners to create groups, enabling users to browse collections of vehicles that have been tagged, such as #Mustangs or #MuscleCars.
- Commenting – Enthusiasts can post comments on vehicles they’re interested in, creating a way to connect and share information about vehicles with other enthusiasts in the community.
