SEMA 2012: Cooper Tires ZEON RS3-Series For Late-Model Musclecars

[1]One of the main ingredients to building a purpose-built machine is rolling stock -everyone knows that. Whether you’re discussing wheels, tires, or the complete package, a killer set of rollers can make or break a car.

When we went over to the Cooper Tires [2] booth at this year’s SEMA show, David Craig was happy to answer all of our questions regarding their latest offerings. We asked David what his choice would be regarding late-model musclecars, or classic musclecars with modern sizes, and his suggestion was Cooper’s ZEON RS3-Series.

The RS3’s are available in dry/wet weather conditions spec or an all-season tire, the ZEON RS3-Series is just what the enthusiast needs when upgrading to a performance tire with the capabilities of every day driving characteristics. -David Craig

David told us, “The RS3’s are available in dry/wet weather conditions spec or an all-season tire, the ZEON RS3-Series is just what the enthusiast needs when upgrading to a performance tire with the capabilities of every day driving characteristics.”

The ZEON RS3-S is the summer tire, offering maximum grip for all dry and slightly wet road conditions. It increases overall traction and road grip – perfect for those of us interested in road racing or autocross, without having to deal with the inconvenience of swapping out tires for the road.

For those of you looking for a tire you can use all year round that only sacrifices a minimal amount of grip needed in a road racing application, then you would want to order up the ZEON RS3-A, their all-season tire. It gives you plenty of performance driving characteristics when it’s dry, yet aids you in traction for when there’s ice and snow on the ground.

The ZEON RS3-S is the ultimate in handling, road grip, and overall performance driving capabilities from Cooper. The RS3-A offers much of the same characteristics, but with the ability to cut through ice and snow.

Both tires feature an asymmetrical tread pattern and circumferential grooves, and both incorporate a silica formulated tread compound and an advanced technology mold profile. The best part is that they’re available in tire sizes ranging from 17-inch and up.

So if you’re in the market for a set of tires that can compliment your new aftermarket wheels, then check out Cooper Tires.
