Hurst Shifters unveiled one of the most exciting new products for late model Camaro enthusiasts with the release of their Hurst Paddle Shifter for 2010 and newer Camaros.

We talked with company representative Cam Benty about the new shifter, “We put the control of your transmission at the tip of your fingers,” said Benty.

According to Benty, “The aluminum paddle shift kit is easy to install, easy to operate, and you don’t have to mess with steering wheel airbags or other steering wheel controls. These aluminum paddles replace the ‘tap shift’ buttons on new Camaros with electronic gearboxes, and they are so easy to install without any modifications to the factory steering wheel.” Designed for automatic V-6 and V8 applications, these shifters aluminum interchangeable ergonomic paddles.

We also found a Hurst Paddle Shift kit for 2006-2010 Charger/Chrysler 300, 2006-2008 Dodge Magnum, and 2008-2010 Dodge Challenger, so the MOPAR guys aren’t left out with new releases from the Iconic brand. “These are fully integrated systems that work with the factory autostick, so they are pretty much a plug and play kit,” said Benty.

So with the fifth gen Camaros, Hurst has designed a paddle shift kit that takes place of the factory OE steering wheel buttons for a full paddle shift control of the transmission and the Dodge Challengers that don’t have shift buttons on the steering wheel, Hurst has a paddle shift kit that puts shift paddles where there were none before.

Benty explained that the shift kits have been received well by the automotive community and plans are in the works to extend the line to include Mustangs and even upgrading the Corvette’s stock design with a newer paddle shift kit.
