SEMA 2011: Evolution Series Corvette Seats From PROCAR by Scat

[1]

The real problem with fitting seats into the Corvette is that the seat fits down into what’s essentially a trough. Other seats on the market just don’t fit because they’re too wide, but these drop right in.

Scat Crankshafts has been a player in the automotive industry since owner Tom Lieb began selling auto parts of his garage in the 1960’s, and naturally, when one hears the name Scat, they instantly think of high performance, aftermarket crankshafts. But crankshafts aren’t Scat’s only business venture, as they also operate the ProCar by Scat [2] line of custom seating systems. And just like their crankshafts, these are some exceptionally nice products that’ll look great in anything.

Of particular interest to the crowd here at SEMA in the ProCar booth are Scat’s new Evolution Series 1616 suspension seats, which are designed to drop into the C4, C5, and C6 Corvette to deliver a great new look and feel to what is already one of the most stylish interiors in the mid-range sports car class.

Whether you’re driving to the office, on the autocross or road course, drag racing, or just generally beating the snot out of your Corvette on a Sunday afternoon, these ProCar seats deliver great, racing-styled looks and even greater feel from their molded foam construction. And with racing in mind, these are designed out of the box ready for a five-point safety harness.

These Evolution Series seats have a width of 15 3/4-inches, and while targeted at the Corvette, they are plenty applicable to other tight-fitting vehicles like Porsches, Nissans, Mazdas, and the like.

These Evolution Series seats from ProCar measure just 15 3/4-inches to fit the C4, C5, and C6 Corvettes, along with other tight-fitting applications. And their fully molded foam construction makes for a great feel to match the look.

Said Lieb, “The real problem with fitting seats into the Corvette is that the seat fits down into what’s essentially a trough. Other seats on the market just don’t fit because they’re too wide, but these drop right in.” Five different color combinations are offered in these Evolution Series seats that will look great in any Corvette, including Black Vinyl and Black Vinyl with Yellow, Ivory, Red, or Blue trim.
