Modern Styling With a Classic Touch: Dakota Digital’s New VHX Gauges

Walking around the SEMA Show, you’ll see a lot of different companies displaying gauges in all different shapes, sizes, and designs. And sure, a gauge is a gauge. but it’s all in the execution, and style matters. In the opinion of many, gauge selection will make or break the interior of a vehicle just as easily as anything else that comprises the interior.

One company products that truly stood out from the pack were those of Dakota Digital, who brought out their slick new line of VHX gauges that fit several different make and models of muscle cars and street rods. Take it from us, you won’t get any scoffs at your gauge selection with a set of these.

The VHX family of gauges are direct-fit designs for many popular hot rod, muscle car,, street rod, and custom vehicle applications, and feature fully lit needles, backlit faces, and highly visible LCD message center. Behind the scenes, these function using micro-controlled precision stepper motors, solid state sensors, and have user-customizable display feedback. They are fully digitally controlled, with digital sensors that provide exceptional accuracy. A separate control box affords the ability to add extra gauges and consolidate your wiring b y all plugging into one central location.

Currently, Dakota Digital’s XHX lineup includes the ’55-56 Chevy, ’57 Chevy, ’67-68 Camaro/Firebird, ’69 Camaro, ’47-54 Chevy Truck, and dual and triple-found guages that will look great and fit nearly any type of vehicle. The vehicle-specific gauges give a great new modern look to your dash, while each each retaining the classic styling of the originals. The gauge faces are available in carbon fiber or silver alloy, with blue or red lighting color options.
