PRI 2012: Royal Purple’s New Product Aims At Cleaner Fuel Systems

[1]Royal Purple [2]‘s new Max-Clean fuel system cleaner and stabilizer brings the company closer to providing products for total engine care. Royal Purple is widely recognized as a manufacturer of premium automotive lubricants, but with the release of the new Max-Clean fuel system cleaner, Royal Purple’s arsenal of car care products now cover virtually everything under the hood and the driveline.

“Max-Clean is a state-of-the-art fuel system treatment that cleans injectors, restores fuel economy and reduces both engine buildup and tailpipe emissions,” says Kyle Neal.

According to Neal, “Max-Clean’s technology targets both the intake system and combustion chamber and is effective on the entire spectrum of engines on the road, whether they are new or old, gasoline or diesel, naturally aspirated, turbocharged or supercharged.”

Based on a rigorous series of tests covering a fleet of vehicles of various makes and models, Neal claims that the Max-Clean product, “Improved fuel economy an average of 3.2 percent, increased horsepower an average of 2.6 percent, reduced hydrocarbon, nitrous oxides and carbon oxide emissions on average of 12, 13 and 18 percent respectively.”

Added benefits of Royal Purple’s Max-Clean fuel system treatment are reported as preventing rough idle, hesitation and stalling. Max-Clean is credited with preventing premature spark plug fouling and reducing deposit-related engine knocking and pinging.

[3]Neal states, “The difference in the Max-Clean fuel system treatment and some of the products on the market is a higher flashpoint and higher viscosity. It flows better as it cleans. It’s actually a 3-in-1 product. Max-Clean not only cleans the fuel system but it is a performance enhancer and fuel stabilizer.”

Deposit build-up is a natural consequence of fuel combustion. Unfortunately, these deposits can have a significant effect on the performance and reliability of your engine. “With Max-Clean, we have developed a product that can bring engine surfaces back to like-new clean, restoring once-lost fuel economy and performance,” Neal adds.
