Now you can just hook up a 7/16 socket to a drill and build oil pressure before you ever fire the engine without having to pull off the oil belt
Why not? In short, it’s a pain in the tail. You have to pull off the oil belt, reach way down in the engine compartment, and turn the oil pump with a drill to build up oil pressure. But now with Peterson’s new Filter mount with an attached primer you can avoid all the hassle.
“Dirt late model drivers are who first gave us this idea. They don’t just have to pull off the oil pump belt, they have to loosen the entire pump from the engine to get the belt off. Almost no one would do this so they would instead just use the starter to turn the engine over and get oil pressure before they started it,” explained Micheal Morton. “Doing that is so hard on the starter, so instead now you can just hook up a 7/16 socket to a drill and build oil pressure before you ever fire the engine without having to pull off the oil belt.”
The filter allows you to attach the mount to an easy to reach location, and it can build 20PSI of oil pressure in as little as 10 seconds. The mount comes available for 1 1/4 – 1 3/4″ tube and it can also be attached to the firewall.
