PRI 2011: Corsa Is About More Than Corvettes

[1]The Performance Racing Industry show is a hardcore trade show – racing is right there in the name, so you know what you’re getting. Aisles and aisles of nothing but performance parts, with no floor mats, subwoofers, or miracle car waxes in sight. You’re far more likely to see dirt cars than cars that have never been dirty, and if you want to watch a cylinder hone in action, you’re in the right place.

So what’s Corsa Performance [2], best known for their top-quality Corvette exhaust systems, doing here? Of course, their free-flowing exhaust technology is completely suitable for race applications (and as a matter of fact, we’ve installed their Indy Pace Car system on Project Y2k [3], our 2000 Corvette), so it only makes sense that they’re interested in finding their place in the world of hardcore racing.

Corsa's patented Reflective Sound Cancellation technology uses precisely tuned internal channels that reflect low frequency sound 180 degrees out of phase to eliminate drone and provide effective sound reduction without robbing power. Each muffler is designed and tuned for a specific application, so there's no one-size-fits-all(but-not-very-well) business.

Don’t forget Corsa’s dB Performance Exhaust [5] line of truck systems, either – no matter whether you race in a straight line, round and round in circles, or through the twisties, everybody tows to the track. Their systems for Ford, Dodge, and Chevy trucks have the same flow-through design, aggressive sound, and drone free cruising performance as Corsa’s Corvette systems.
