Keeping a clean engine only helps performance and longevity. While some applications can try to keep things “too clean”, meaning by unnecessarily restricting the flow, K&N Filters has figured out a way to keep things very clean while INCREASING flow.  Stepping out of their normal boundary, K&N has designed an external, inline filter that works for both fuel and oil.

The casing of this inline filter is made from 6061-T6 aluminum with either -10 or -12 AN fittings for now, with larger sizes on the way.  K&N actually says that it was originally designed for oil, though the Viton seals allows it to flow fuel, including alcohol!  They can also accommodate your filtering needs with anything from 10 to 100 micron filters.  The filters themselves are made from stainless steel mesh and are completely washable and reusable. Lastly, there is a built-in bypass spring that will allow the fluid to flow around the filter if it becomes clogged.
