PRI 2010: AEM’s 4-Channel Wideband UEGO Controller

[1]

Advancements in computer technology means that, more than ever, we have control over every aspect of our engines. Such engine control however, requires a constant influx of information, especially in turbocharged vehicles. Perhaps no information is more important than the air/fuel ratio, which previously had to be measured after the turbo.

However, AEM [2] has developed a 4-Channel Wideband UEGO Controller that measures the air/fuel ratio before the turbo, delivering far more accurate information on the tune. This unit comes with four different analog outputs, allowing you to monitor up to four individual separately. Multiple units can be linked together to monitor 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12-cylinder engines. This system utilizes Bosch’s 4.2 sensor system for excellent accuracy, and can compensate for exhaust backpressure to correct readings on the sensors.

Information is power, quite literally, and the more info you have, the more power you can make.
