PRI 2010: AED Releases New Street and Performance Carburetor Lines

[1]

AED Carburetors [2] has introduced over ten different lines of carburetors for a variety of applications.  While still making cast base plates and metering blocks, they have understood that billet pieces is the latest trend.  While they don’t provide really any performance value, they look great and come in a wide variety of colors.

Billet HO-Series

This is a new “Off-the-Shelf” series for 2011.  The HO Billet includes the aforementioned billet base plate and metering blocks.  They have also included new aluminum bowls with sight glasses for easy float setting.  This is a great carburetor for street and bracket racing, with clean idle, great drive-ability and crisp throttle response.  This carburetor is primarily designed for naturally aspirated engine, though they do offer draw and blow tru combinations. Size range from 650 to 1000 CFM.

HO-Series

This is AED’s traditional line of carburetors that come in at a lower price point than the billet version.  This is also a great carburetor for street and bracket racing, with clean idle, great drive-ability and crisp throttle response – though this carburetor comes with the traditional cast base plates and metering blocks.  Other standard features include:

• Milled choke housing
• Fully machined and deburred main body surfaces
• High flow boosters and metering blocks
• Special AED calibration and fuel curve
