The web is buzzing today with GM’s release of standard pricing and options for the 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe and Convertible. Enthusiasts and media-types alike are pulling out their calculators to price out their dream package when the much-anticipated Corvettes hit the showroom floor later this year.
Dispelling the recent rumors that the new C7 Corvette Stingray’s starting price will be approaching or topping $70K, Alan Taylor, automotive journalist and TV personality, said the new Corvette Convertible will retail for about $60K.
This event marks the first of four races this year, the Challenge’s second full season. Three heads-up classes and two index categories will battle it out on the dragstrip, and the quickest and fastest LS-powered cars in the country will be on-hand to see how high the bar can be raised for Chevy performance.

February 28th was a historical day for GM, Chevrolet, the Corvette, and the millions of C6 fans the world over. At 8:04 AM, the final sixth-generation Corvette rolled off of the Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly line. It’s a bittersweet time for both the employees, and Corvette fans.
For those who’ve never been to California, let me be the first to tell you – it’s a huge state. As gorgeous and scenic as it is, it’s very possible to get lost in the twisty mountain, valley, and desert roads. That’s just what happened to a pair of Gen-5 Camaro owners, only to spot this C7 in a random parking lot!
